For many years, this 30 pattern sampler blanket has been a favorite project with my students. The pattern has been revised and updated with charts and photographs added for each square along with the written pattern instructions.
From Advanced Beginner to the more Experienced level knitter this is a skill building project introducing new techniques as it is worked. It is a fun and exciting project, enriching the knitter with a great sense of accomplishment as each square is completed and a new one begins. The blanket is knit in 5 strips, each with 6 patterns. The strips are then crocheted together and finished with a crochet trim.
In addition there is a schematic for a 12 square Baby Blanket that uses fun textured patterns with a stockinette square for monogramming.
After a test with 20 wonderfully patient knitters, I have made a few videos of the techniques that I was most often requested to demonstrate. I hope these are helpful. If you have any questions, or a request for another video, please feel free to contact me.
